FAT BURNING SOUP RECIPE

FROM GUY'S HOSPITAL - USED FOR OVERWEIGHT HEART PATIENTS WHO NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT BEFORE SURGERY.

INGREDIENTS:

1.   3 LARGE ONIONS                                                           4.   1 HEAD OF CELERY                                               6.   2 TINS CHOPPED TOMATOES

2.   1 LARGE GREEN PEPPER                                   5.   HALF HEAD OF CABBAGE                         7.   1 PACKET OF ONION SOUP MIX

3.   3 VEGETABLE STOCK CUBES

METHOD:

CUT ALL OF THE VEGETABLES INTO SMALL PIECES, PUT INTO A SAUCEPAN AND ADD ALL OTHER INGREDIENTS.   COVER WITH WATER, SEASON TO TASTE AND SIMMER UNTIL ALL VEGETABLES ARE SOFT.   LIQUIDISE IF PREFERRED.

YOU CAN EAT AS MUCH OF THIS SOUP AS YOU WANT, WHENEVER YOU WANT IT.   THIS SOUP WILL NOT ADD CALORIES.   THE MORE SOUP YOU EAT, THE MORE WEIGHT YOU WILL LOSE.   DO NOT JUST EAT THE SOUP, YOU MUST FOLLOW THE DIET, OTHERWISE MALNUTRITION WILL OCCUR.

YOU MUST NOT HAVE BREAD, ALCOHOL OR CARBONATED DRINKS.

YOU CAN EAT GRILLED OR ROASTED CHICKEN   , INSTEAD OF BEEF.   VEGETARIANS CAN EAT QUORN INSTEAD OF BEEF.

YOU CAN EAT FISH ON ONE OF THE BEEF DAYS.

YOU CAN TAKE PRESCRIBED MEDICINES WHILST ON THIS DIET.

DAY ONE:

YOUR FIRST DAY WILL CONSIST OF ALL THE FRUIT AND SOUP YOU CAN EAT.   FOR DRINKS, HAVE UNSWEETENED TEA, BLACK COFFEE, CRANBERRY JUICE AND WATER.

DAY TWO:

EAT ALL YOU CAN OF FRESH AND COOKED VEGETABLES.   DO NOT EAT PEAS, DRY BEANS OR SWEET CORN.   AT DINNER, REWARD YOURSELF WITH A LARGE BAKED POTATO WITH BUTTER.   EAT ALL THE SOUP YOU WANT, BUT NO FRUIT.

DAY THREE:

MIX DAYS ONE AND TWO.   EAT AS MUCH FRUIT, FRESH VEGETABLES AND SOUP AS YOU WANT.   YOU CAN'T HAVE A JACKET POTATO TODAY.

DAY FOUR:

BANANAS AND SKIMMED MILK.   YOU CAN EAT AS MANY AS EIGHT BANANAS TODAY AND AS MUCH SOUP AS YOU WANT.

DAY FIVE:

BEEF AND TOMATO DAY.   YOU MAY HAVE 10-20oz OF BEEF AND A LARGE CAN OF TOMATOES, OR SIX FRESH TOMATOES.   TRY TO DRINK AT LEAST 6-8 GLASSES OF WATER TODAY, TO WASH OUT THE URIC ACID FROM YOUR BODY.   MAKE SURE YOU STILL EAT YOUR SOUP TODAY.

DAY SIX:

EAT AS MUCH BEEF AND FRESH VEGETABLES AS YOU WANT.   YOU CAN HAVE TWO OR THREE STEAKS WITH SALAD, OR FRESH VEGETABLES, BUT NO BAKED POTATO.   MAKE SURE YOU EAT YOUR SOUP.

DAY SEVEN:

BROWN RICE AND VEGETABLE AND UNSWEETENED FRUIT JUICE.   EAT AS MUCH AS YOU WANT.   BE SURE TO EAT SOUP AT LEAST ONCE TODAY, BUT REMEMBER THE MORE SOUP YOU EAT, THE BETTER.

AT THE END OF THE SEVENTH DAY, IF YOU HAVE NOT CHEATED, YOU SHOULD HAVE LOST BETWEEN 10 AND 15 lbs,   IF YOU HAVE LOST MORE THAN 15 lbs, THEN STAY OFF THE DIET FOR TWO DAYS, BEFORE RESUMING.

THIS DIET DOES NOT LEND ITSELF TO DRINKING ALCOHOL AT ANY TIME, BECAUSE OF THE REMOVAL OF FAY BUILD UP FROM YOUR SYSTEM.   GO OFF THE DIET FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS, BEFORE ANY ALCOHOL INTAKE.   IF YOU FEEL THE NEED, EAT SOME BRAN OR FIBRE
